Belly Binding
What is Belly Binding?
Bengkung belly binding is a traditional Malay postpartum practice that uses a special cloth to wrap the abdomen and hips of a woman during the initial 6 weeks after giving birth. This age-old tradition incorporates the use of herbs and warming the body which aims to provide physical, mental, and emotional support to the mother. This practice practice promotes warming, healing, cleasing and slimming for the postpartum body.
