What is a Doula?
A Doula is a compassionate and empowering professional who offers vital support from preconception, pregnancy, child birth, and postpartum to End-of-Life & Death. Rooted in community and advocacy, doulas provide emotional, physical, and spiritual care ensuring that you, the client, feels heard, respected, and empowered throughout your journey. Acting as a valuable part of the care team, doulas share evidence based information, connect families with community resources, and create a nurturing atmosphere. Whether navigating learning more about your health and hormones to get pregnant, have questions about pregnancy, want additional support during birth, are experiencing or have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, are in the trenches of postpartum, or if you or a family member are in the midst of navigating the stages of the end of life process, doulas ensure individuals and their families feel fully supported and informed every step of the way.
What is a Doula Consultation?
Welcome to the beginning of your empowering journey towards tacking charge of your fertility, childbirth, postpartum, loss, or end of life. A doula consultation is an important first step in ensuring your receive the support that you deserve. You’ll start off with a short consult with one of our owners to get to know you, discuss your unique needs, and explore how we can best guide you through your journey. From there we’ll send you profiles of Doulas who have availability and have the best set of skills that suit your needs. You can let us know who you would like to set up a video call with from there so that you can ask questions, share your preferences, and learn more about how we can support you emotionally, physically, and practically.
